How do We Live Together in Harmony?
In order for elderly people to lead a fulfilling and enriching life, we cannot ignore "the coexistence of the older and younger generations." If elderly people are not bedridden and are able to go out, they can be considered active consumers, and this will lead to the revitalization of local economy. So it is necessary for working people and the younger generations to acquire a sense of hospitality and care-fitting skills. This is vital to creating an environment that supports the independence of elderly people and is the most important issue for Japan's future. This is why Nippon Care-Fit Service Association started " Care-fitters."

Installation of Care-Fit Training in the State of Utah, USA
Overview: Governor Jon M Huntsman Jr. of the State of Utah signed his Executive Order and officially announced on October 19, 2007, that he will install Care-Fit Training Program as one sphere of Utah's welfare policy. The announcement was made during the Golden Key Award session held in Marriott Hotel conference center in Provo, Utah, where Governor made his presentation in front of government officials and businesses. Public officers and business employees will start taking the E-learning education system provided by Care-Fit with the budget of government and private corporations.

Meeting with Governor: Nobuo Kamahori (Chairman), Nen Hatanaka (Executive Director) and Norio Koujimoto (Director of New Business) met Governor Huntsman at his office in Utah State government, representing Nippon Care-Fit Service Association, an authorized non-profit organization located in Tokyo, Japan, on October 22, 2007. Care-Fit invited Governor Huntsman to Care-Fit Summit to be held 2008 in Tokyo in order to enhance welfare policy both in Japan and in USA. Governor Huntsman kindly accepted this offer. Utah government officials including the Governor, and members of the Japanese Diet as well as business leaders will be attending the session.

The Care-fitter's Mark of Reassurance
At establishments where there are certified Care-fitters, The Care-fitter's Mark of Reassurance is displayed or the Care-fitter wear it as a badge or on the name tag. This is to reassure not only elderly people and people with disabilities, but to reassure those who are physically unimpaired as well.

With the recent rise in name recognition of Care-fitters, there are more organizations that offer care-fitting skill certifications. Each certification has its characteristics, but there are similar certifications with explanations or notations that can cause them to be confused with the Care-fitter certification. Even if the word "care giving" is included, these certifications are different from Care-fitter certification, so please pay close attention.
